We have died and gone straight to heaven

I can't begin to describe the beautiful accommodation we have found ourselves in for the next 4 nights of our Calabrian Table Tour. I couldn't wish for more. It is like a farm but very compact with goats, pigs, hens, ducks as well as produce.

We were offered a 'light' lunch'!!!!!!!!!! Perhaps light means something else. We were given individual plates of devious tasting samples all produced on the property, including cheese, prosciutto , pickled squash, olives, and then more food came, including bowls of delicious lentils and tasty pumpkin-like polenta, deep fried and battered flowers, risotto balls (arancini)' then on fried bread came freshly fried eggs with farm dried red peppers and truffles. But wait, there was more: housemade wine and Lemoncello (homemade as well), delicious apricot tart straight out of the oven and my second ever espresso.

I have photos so will load these when I get a chance. We are off to a medieval village to explore and, you guessed it, eat again! Until then, ciao
