Day 5 Farewell Pollino Mountains and hello Tropea

It was with great sadness that we farewelled the Argrturismo in the Pollino mountains and the beautiful family who made us feel a real part of their family.  It was time to pack again and it was time to travel south. Our first stop was a unique cave by the coast that is really a church. It was initially excavated by fishermen who survived a shipwreck of this coastline.

The next photo was taken just outside the entrance of the church cave and we all love the groupie shot!

From here we drove to a fancy seafood restaurant. I do apologise for the lack of names in this blog but they are so hard to remember. I will try and backtrack through the blog at a later stage and add the names. Remember, I'm still having enough trouble keeping up. I am technically one and a half days behind. It is almost midnight again and the rest of the tour group are sleeping.

Check out the photos of the lovely food we ate at the seafood restaurant.

Have you noticed that there is always pasta?

This fish was gorgeous witH a fantastic pistachio sauce.

I promise that I only tasted this one!

That's Cherrye 'photo bombing' my picture dipping biscotti into coffee. Am still looking for the perfect coffee!
And now for those crazy girls!!!!!!!!!

After lunch it was time to farewell Cherrye. Ciiao Ciao Bella Cherrye. Thanks for everything. Hope you get some rest. We had a blast!

Check out Tropea .....
Our first night in Tropea saw us settled into a lovely hotel. Thanks Tanya for all the special attention to detail and getting us lovely rooms. There is a roof top garden with 180degree views of the ocean. This is our breakfast spot and where we meet up for aperitifs and nibbles.

What a unique restaurant we went to that night. It was outdoors, basically in a cute little alfresco area at the junction of several buildings. Tables were lined with linen tablecloths and paintings lined the outside walls of buildings. We you looked up, you could just see stars between the buildings. It was just so Italy. Again the meal was great. Imagine going to a restaurant, not having to order and having the chef cook all,of his specialities for you. This was what it was like and this has been our experience forr the last 5 days.

Tonight we welcomed Leah and Herb from Canada for the last 3 days of our tour. Hope they enjoy themselves as much as we have done so far.
Ciao.
