Umbrian Appetites: Day 3: Not my cup of tea!

I am now two days behind on my blog. Yesterday wasn't my favourite day so I will keep it brief and factual. No embellishments allowed.

We travelled to Perugia to have a guided tour of the town, but this was mostly an Art/History lesson, through the brush strokes of fresco paintings. For me, there was just too much detail and the focus was too narrow. We spent most of the day there and then travelled to Deruta which is famous for its 300 ceramic shops. It is lovely but we were all quite weary and hot by this stage that we didn't stay long and returned to our accommodation to cool down.

The day's highlights include:
1. Lovely pastries in Perugia.
2. A swim in the pool at the end of the day.
3. Another delicious dinner prepared by Guiseppe, including a ricotta stuffed zucchini flower, tagliatelle carbonara (made the proper way without cream), tender chicken breast with a tasty white wine sauce (maybe?) and finishing with strawberries and ice cream.

Tomorrow promises to be better. We will be visiting Norcia, the cured meat Capitol of Italy.
