Fast train to Rome

After catching a public transport ferry to the train station we are now on our way, 'fast train style' to Rome. Tony is tired and grumpy with all the comings and goings so I'm glad he is currently napping on the train, so I can blog and 'people watch' in peace.
True to our word we had 'standing-style' coffees at the train station, costing a total of €2.50 for both and they were good. Grazie coffee gods! The only slip up I made was trying to order short blacks instead of espressos.

Much later ....

Found our way to our hotel without any dramas. Not much to report except a quick visit to the Trevi Fountain. Whilst the photos look amazing, what you don't see from these is the hundreds of tourists all gathered around the 'keep out' fence all doing the same thing, taking photos and throwing coins over the fence.

Tomorrow we will be up early for our Vatican tour so no doubt there will be lots of photos then, x
